Blood Bags

Blood donated in hospitals and donation camps is collected and stored in blood bags. The bags with tubing are the only blood collection system required in the blood donation process. Sterile bags with several ports for connection are primary bags. These bags can be connected to satellite bags for separating and storing various blood components, for instance, platelets and red blood cells. The blood collected does not form any clots and maintains the viability of the blood components, all because of the anticoagulants or additives in the blood bags. The tubes in these bags are used for connecting the bags and also to needles. These bags are supplied in tamper-proof packaging to avoid the risk of contamination.
